'Cyanide' is the 20 days trauma faced by Rajiv Gandhi assassinators in Bangalore before they took cyanide and ended their life. Without bringing in the political statements, LTTE role etc this film is made with lot of home work by director Ramesh who did 'Santosha' in Kannada sometime back. Reputed cameraman Rathnavelu has added extra dimension to this film that is dedicated to Karnataka police. The plight of Shivarasan (played by Ravi Kale), Shuba (played by Malavika), Ranganath who gives shelter for the assassins (played by Rangayana Raghu) and his wife Mridula (Played by national award winning actress Thara) and the police struggle form the theme of this film.
